Psst! Take a top secret peek at the new WebbliWorld!

 

Well, here it is - a first glimpse of the amazing new virtual WebbliWorld that will be exploding onto your computer screens in March. After listening to our users and working with those amazing guys at Aardman, we're confident that kids will love it. They'll be able to walk around, meet other Webblis, chat and much, much more. This image shows Wij's Observatory and he'll be waiting for you there! We'll be showing you glimpses of the new WebbliWorld over the coming weeks. We'll also be picking our most loyal Webblis to form a special panel of site testers so we can further shape and refine the site to make it the best there is. We can't wait! Can you?

WebbliWorld spots Venus and Jupiter.

  

This week, our science boffin, Wij, is encouraging users to get out into their gardens and look for Venus and Jupiter. They're both very easy to spot and a great way to get kids excited about astronomy. At WebbliWorld, we believe in getting kids away from their computers and experiencing things for themselves. It's the best way to learn. And, WebbliWorld is a great place to start.

WWF and the Tundra Buggy

 

Now the weather's turning chilly our thoughts are going out to polar bears, whose sea is no longer chilly enough. As the sea ice recedes further thanks to the effects of global warming, WWF and Polar Bear International are monitoring the plight of these wonderful animals from their fully-wired Tundra Buggy. This allows them to get really close to the bears and film them. You can watch one of these magical films on WebbliWorld. And remember, we can all help the bears in our daily lives by saving energy - so don't forget to unplug your computer when you've finished using it!
