Well, here it is, our brand new WebbliWorld logo, designed by Aardman Animations. Kids are already telling us they love it. Well, who wouldn't? It's bursting with Aardman character and humour - a tantalising taster of the new, interactive WebbliWorld that will be exploding on your computer screens in February. Watch this space over the coming months as we reveal more about the craziest virtual world in the world!
We're getting into the Halloween fun here at WebbliWorld. This week, Wez is finding out about vampire bats. There are some great links to help kids learn about these creatures. Plus, some batty crafts to enjoy. Wanda, meanwhile, shares her favourite Halloween recipes for some truly nasty nosh. The decaying mummy eyeballs are particularly toothsome!
Wij is ploughing his own Halloween-free furrow this week with an article about the first successful parachute jump which took place on the 22nd October 1797. He links to a fairly chunky article about the history of parachutes that is packed with info. Plus, there's also a link to some great images of the first sky dive over Everest which happened earlier this month.
This week on WebbliWorld, Wez is finding out about swallows. There are some great links on his page where you can learn more about migration and watch a short film about these beautiful birds. Wij, meanwhile, has been training his WebbliScope on Saturn. He's also included some great links on his page to help you discover all sorts of things about this amazing planet. To mark the anniversary of Rembrandt's death on 4th October 1669, Wanda's page is devoted to him and his work with more useful links to help you learn more this great Dutch painter.
We're working on a new astronomy WebbliZone at the moment which will include all sorts of info on our solar system and beyond with the usual great links. This should be live in November, so, watch this space! See you soon in WebbliWorld.
